Usage Tracking
The Usage page provides a comprehensive overview of your current resource consumption and plan limits. This dashboard helps you track your usage and plan upgrades when needed.
Accessing Usage Statistics
Section titled “Accessing Usage Statistics”- Click the profile menu (avatar icon) in the top-right corner
- Select Usage from the dropdown menu
Usage Metrics
Section titled “Usage Metrics”The Usage page displays six key metrics with visual progress indicators:
API Calls
Section titled “API Calls”- Description - Daily quota shared across your workspaces
- Metric Display - Shows current usage vs. total daily limit
- Progress Bar - Visual indicator of quota consumption percentage
- Plan Limits:
- Free: 100 calls/day
- Hobbyist: 1,000 calls/day
- Pro: 10,000 calls/day
- Team: 50,000 calls/day (shared across team)
Example Display: “0 / 50,000 calls” with “50,000 calls remaining”
Active Mailboxes
Section titled “Active Mailboxes”- Description - Mailboxes currently receiving mail
- Metric Display - Current active mailboxes vs. plan limit
- Count Includes - Only mailboxes that are currently active (not expired)
- Plan Limits:
- Free: 3 mailboxes
- Hobbyist: 10 mailboxes
- Pro: 50 mailboxes
- Team: 200 mailboxes (shared)
Example Display: “0 / 200 mailboxes” with “200 mailboxes remaining”
Archived & Reserved Mailboxes
Section titled “Archived & Reserved Mailboxes”- Description - Archived mailboxes and active mailboxes set to be archived after expiration
- Metric Display - Total count vs. archive slot limit
- Includes:
- Mailboxes currently in archived state
- Active mailboxes with “archive after expiration” enabled
- Plan Limits:
- Free: 5 archive slots
- Hobbyist: 20 archive slots
- Pro: 200 archive slots
- Team: 1,000 archive slots
Example Display: “0 / 1,000 archive slots” with “1,000 archive slots remaining”
Custom Domains
Section titled “Custom Domains”- Description - Domains connected for mailbox routing
- Metric Display - Number of verified custom domains vs. limit
- Count Includes - Only fully verified and active domains
- Plan Limits:
- Free: 0 domains
- Hobbyist: 0 domains
- Pro: 5 domains
- Team: 20 domains
Example Display: “0 / 20 domains” with “20 domains remaining”
Team Members
Section titled “Team Members”- Description - People with access to this MinuteMail team
- Metric Display - Current member count vs. seat limit
- Availability - Team plan only
- Plan Limits:
- Team: 5 seats included

Understanding the Display
Section titled “Understanding the Display”Each usage metric card shows:
- Icon - Visual representation of the resource type
- Resource Name - What is being measured
- Description - Brief explanation of the metric
- Progress Percentage - Visual bar showing consumption (0-100%)
- Current Usage - Exact count of resources in use
- Total Limit - Maximum allowed by your plan
- Remaining Resources - How many resources are still available
Progress Indicators
Section titled “Progress Indicators”The progress bars use color coding:
- Blue/Cyan - Normal usage (0-80%)
- Yellow/Warning - Approaching limit (80-95%)
- Red/Critical - Near or at limit (95-100%)
When to Upgrade
Section titled “When to Upgrade”Consider upgrading your plan when:
- API Calls - Frequently hitting daily limits, causing service interruptions
- Active Mailboxes - Unable to create new mailboxes when needed
- Archive Slots - Running out of space for preserving important mailboxes
- Custom Domains - Need more domains for branding or organization
- Team Members - Need to add more collaborators
Real-time Updates
Section titled “Real-time Updates”Usage statistics update in real-time as you:
- Create or delete mailboxes
- Make API calls
- Archive or restore mailboxes
- Add or remove custom domains
- Invite or remove team members
Quota Reset Timing
Section titled “Quota Reset Timing”- API Calls - Reset daily at 00:00 UTC
- Other Resources - Based on current active count (no reset period)
Team Plan Considerations
Section titled “Team Plan Considerations”For Team plan users:
- All quotas are shared across the entire team
- Any team member’s actions count toward the team quota
- Owner can monitor total team usage
- Individual member usage is tracked separately for billing purposes
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Regular Monitoring - Check usage page weekly to avoid hitting limits
- Plan Ahead - Upgrade before hitting limits to ensure service continuity
- Cleanup Unused Resources - Delete inactive mailboxes and domains
- Optimize API Usage - Use webhooks instead of polling where possible
- Archive Strategically - Only archive mailboxes you’ll need to restore
Troubleshooting

- Delete unused resources or upgrade your plan
Usage not updating
Section titled “Usage not updating”- Refresh the page to see latest statistics
- Changes may take a few seconds to reflect
Unexpected high usage
Section titled “Unexpected high usage”- Review your API integration for efficiency
- Check for automated scripts creating excessive mailboxes
- Verify team members are following best practices
